Can this be India's decade

A very happy new year 2010 to everyone. This is the starting of a new decade and I’m really looking forward to more enriching and successful life.

Being an Indian, these are the three improvements I expect in this decade in our country.

1. Better Infrastructure: I’m looking forward to better roads in cities as well as rural areas. This is the one thing which can change the way world looks upon India. I also expect reach of electricity and telephone to every house in India by 2020.
2. Better Administration: Our politicians, beaurocrats, and officers in state as well central government should be approachable, responsible and accountable.
3. Education to every kid: There are lot of foundations, NGO’s have done remarkable job in the past decade to improve the literacy rate in India. We all as a responsible citizen of India should help these institutions by whatever means we can for this noble cause.

Economists predict that India will be a strong force by 2020 and one of the largest economy.We should aim for that. Each and every citizen who is having a decent job should contribute in making India a super power. We all can help for this in different means.

Proud to be an Indian.

Staying Fit and Healthy

Being active makes a person healthy and fit. It is not just for people who have a weight related problem but for everyone who likes to stay fit.

There is a lot a person can do such like jog or walk every morning, play basketball or any other sport with friends but if a person wants to have muscles and look lean, then one can sign up and workout in a gym.

Generally people workout for the below reasons;

The first is that the person is overweight and the only way to lose those extra pounds will be to reduce one's daily calorie intake and at the same time workout in the gym.

The second is that the person is underweight and the only way to add extra pounds is to have more calories in one's daily diet and workout.

The third is to tone the body and to keep that person in shape.

The best exercise plan should have cardiovascular and weight training exercises. This helps burn calories and increase the muscle to fat ratio that will increase ones metabolism and gain or lose weight.

Just like taking any medicine, one should first consult the doctor before undergoing any form of exercise.

Here are some benefits of exercising;

1. It is the easiest way to maintain and improve one's health from a variety of diseases and premature death.

2. Studies have shown that it makes a person feels happier and increases one's self esteem preventing one from falling into depression or anxiety.

3. An active lifestyle makes a person live longer than a person who doesn't.

Working out for someone who has not done it before should be done gradually. Endurance will not be built in a day and doing it repeatedly will surely be beneficial to the person.

to be continued....

Malaysia Trip

It's been quite a while that I wanted to visit Malaysia.Finally the day arrived thanks to a colleague who arranged the trip.
Two days trip was enjoyable and freshened my mind since coming out from work-savvy Singapore. Like the Malaysia tourism ad, its truly Asia and for me it felt somewhat similar to the motherland India.The visit was limited to the capital Kuala Lumpur and hill station Genting. Twin Towers at KL are engineering marvel. Cable car experience at Genting and the newly built admin city of Malaysian govt,PutraJaya are a must in Malaysia.Not to forget South Indian style food was delicious in KL.
I recommend Malaysia as a nice place to spend the holiday time.
